Just some fresh garnishing and you can jazz up the entire dish in a minute. With each serving, you can have four to five small pavs or more based on your appetite.

Tips to make masala pav at home

Start with rinsing the veggies and then chopping them into fine sections. This includes onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and even bell pepper. You can choose to add crushed garlic to the gravy or even chopped, whichever is easier for you to handle.

To make the masala, melt the butter in the pan and toss some cumin seeds into it. Instead of oil, you can use butter to give a rich consistency to the gravy. The crushed ginger, garlic, and chili paste are now put into the pan. Stir and saute followed by the addition of onions. Allow the onions to turn golden brown before you proceed to the next step. Next goes the tomatoes along with pav bhaji masala. Saute the onion and tomato mixture for a while and then put the chopped capsicum into it as well. Again saute and toss for five to ten minutes. Season with salt and add some water! Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and allow the gravy to simmer until the water dries up and a thick gravy is formed.

Toast the pav in butter before you serve them with the masala. Either you can give the bhaji on the side of the plate or stuff it inside the pav, that is up to you!
