How to make spot idlis at home
From the streets of Hyderabad to our kitchen, spot idlis will soon make their place in our hearts as well. Melt some butter on a pan! Make sure there is enough butter on the pan so that the spot idlis do not stick at the bottom of the skillet. Maintain the flames on medium while engaging in this recipe.
Once the butter has completely melted down, add chopped onions, green chilies, and tomatoes to the pan. Then go in a few handfuls of curry leaves. Next, put the chopped ginger and garlic into the skillet and enjoy the sizzling fragrance that is eventually released.
Now saute everything for a few minutes, and give it a nice toss so it does not stick to the bottom. Once the masala is ready, you can divide it into four sections on the pan! Take a spoonful of idli batter and pour it just over the individual sections. At this point, you can reduce the heat and cover the pan on top! Leave the arrangement to simmer on the heat for a while. Once the idli batter is ready, you can flip the batter to expose the masala layer. Use a silicone spatula as this makes it easier to flip without breaking. Allow the spot idli to cook uncovered for two to three minutes this way. Take the spot idlis and place it on the plate with some melted ghee on top.
