Paragliding in Patnitop

Now this is an adventure sport which doesn’t need you to visit Patnitop during Winters. You can enjoy the beauty of paragliding in Patnitop at any time of the year. At an altitude of 2000m above sea level you get to see gorgeous landscapes. As you glide through the air with your parachute you see the beautiful bird-eye view of the entire Patnitop.

Its an incredible experience in itself. You get to paraglide for approximately 2-2.5km and the ride is truly magical. It starts from Dwariyai which is also called Billoo Di Powri Point. I have planned my travel first week of March but when we reached their it was rains all day so we did not enjoy paragliding. If you want to enjoy Paragliding your should visit summer season.

Skiing

Skiing will obviously only be possible in winter months which are December, January and February. If you are lucky like me then you can find snow in March as well. This beautiful hill-station has become a highlight and a top-most tourist spot for all adventure freaks out there in the world. Skiing through the white carpeted snow feels like sailing through a white cotton sea with blue sky protecting you and the feisty Sun winking at you.

Trekking in Patnitop

Trekking in Patnitop is a treat for every nature lover out there. You can start this challenging 11km trek from Patnitop and then trek up to Shiva Ghar. This trekking experience will be one of the best experiences of your life. As you go up the mountain through the hilly terrain you will see nature’s majestic beauty surrounded all around you.

You must always wear some light clothes while trekking or else it will be a really big deal to move up. You can get all the trekking gear that you need at a tourist departmental store. One thing which people ask me is that is this safe?

The answer is yes! This is absolutely safe and you can capture some of the best photographs of natural sunlight playing with the green grasses or the mountains challenging the sun’s light standing erect in all its majesty and pride.

Skyview (Ropeway) in Patnitop by Empyren

Skyview ropeway in Patnitop is no less than a beautiful experience. Going through the sky amidst majestic views of the hills is a thrill-seeking experience that will blow you mind. This is a unique experience which people just can’t miss when in Patnitop. You will feel your heart beating faster as you see how high you are from the ground level.

Going amidst the clouds and the skies, you can actually feel like a large bird. When I was here there was a lot of rain and snow. So, when we reached the top we crossed the cloud and we could actually hear the sound of rain. It was a breath-taking experience for me. My entire family loved it. What’s more beautiful is that I got to catch fresh snowflakes dropping from the clouds.

It was so pretty and magical that somehow everything felt quite ethereal to me. I know you are thinking that is this safe? Well, it could be safer. I went there with my family and kids. And, honestly it was the best experience ever.

Yes the tickets were a bit expensive. But, hey – you are getting so much safety, automatic trolley gates, spectacular views what else do you need?

This is quite a deal in itself. The tickets for One way Ropeway is INR 849 OR USD 11.15 per person, Ropeway and Return – INR 999 or USD 13.12 per person.
